How to connect the teleprompter host and remote

Put both phones on the same Wi-Fi or hotspot, show a pairing QR code on the host, then scan it from the remote.

In short

Two-device collaboration uses one phone as the teleprompter host and another as the remote. The phones do not need the same Wi-Fi account, but they must be on the same local network: connect both to the same Wi-Fi, or enable a hotspot on one phone and join it from the other.

Connect the devices

  1. Connect both phones to the same Wi-Fi, or enable a hotspot on one phone and join it from the other.
  2. On the host, open a script and enter the prompting screen. Tap the remote-control icon at the top and wait for the Connect Remote dialog to show a QR code.
  3. On the other phone, open TDX Teleprompter, tap “+” at the top right of Home, and choose “Use as remote.”
  4. Allow camera access when prompted and place the complete host QR code inside the frame. Camera images are processed only on this phone and are not saved or uploaded.
  5. The connection starts automatically after the code is recognized. The QR dialog closes on the host and the other phone opens the remote-control screen.
