How to approve desktop sign-in from your phone

On desktop, you can browse documents and settings without logging in; when changing documents or starting prompting, use your logged-in mobile phone to scan the QR code to authenticate the Pro.

Let’s look at the conclusion first

The desktop client is the exclusive benefit of the mobile Pro, but it is not forced to scan the QR code when it is opened normally. If you are not logged in, you can browse the text of local documents, view all pages and modify local settings; create, edit, import, delete, restore, copy documents, create a new group or start prompting, the QR code authentication valid Pro will pop up. After successful authentication, the desktop side will only automatically continue the previous operation once; this operation will not be performed when canceled, failed, or the membership is invalid.

Operation steps

  1. On the desktop client, click on the operations that require the Pro, such as "New Document", "Edit" or "Start Prompt"; you can also actively choose to scan the QR code for authentication on the account page.
  2. Sign in to the same account in Tdx Teleprompter on your phone and confirm that Pro is still active.
  3. Choose “Sign In on Desktop” from the + menu on Home, or tap the computer icon on your account card in Me. Follow the prompts to allow camera access.
  4. Put the QR code on the computer into the viewfinder. Camera images are only recognized locally on the phone and are not saved or uploaded.
  5. Check the computer name, system and authorization instructions on the confirmation page; choose reject if the information does not match.
  6. Click Allow and return to the computer to wait for the authentication to be completed; the original operation will automatically continue once, do not click or scan the old QR code again.

When approval is not possible

  • When "QR code expired" appears, refresh the QR code on the desktop client and scan again.
  • When "Pro Required" appears, first confirm membership status on your mobile phone; desktop does not provide a separate purchase entrance.
  • When "The number of devices is full" appears, process the existing desktop devices according to the page guidance, and then re-approval.
  • When the phone is not logged in or the current device is restricted, restore the full account session on the phone first.
  • If there is no change in the computer after scanning the code, keep both ends connected to the Internet, and only approve it once after refreshing the QR code; if it still fails, record the prompts from both ends and submit feedback.

Membership sales and existing rights

New sales use fixed terms. The 3-Year plan is exactly 1095 days (94,608,000 seconds), paid once without automatic renewal, using each platform's previous permanent-plan price. It opens in phases as client versions and channels become ready. Older Android versions can continue to buy available supported short-term plans. An unavailable plan or a displayed catalog does not enable payments. Windows keeps its existing separate-purchase restriction; macOS and HarmonyOS do not gain a payment flow from displaying a plan.

Permanent membership is closed to new sales and ordinary new permanent redemption, reward or administrator gifts. Existing lawful permanent rights and previously issued commitments remain valid. Already-paid transactions and verifiable purchases initiated before withdrawal but approved later retain their original terms. Permanent accounts show Already active, retain restoration and account management, and cannot initiate new membership payments.

data boundaries

Scanning approves desktop login. With the same account, Pro membership and an eligible device session, return to the library to sync scripts between compatible mobile and desktop apps. Prompt settings, reading position and media do not sync. Signing out or switching accounts hides the original account's scripts; membership expiry does not clear local scripts. See the cloud-sync guide for steps, retention and troubleshooting.
