How to allow the floating teleprompter over other apps

The first time you start the floating teleprompter, follow the guide to allow Tdx Teleprompter to display over other apps.

Let’s look at the conclusion first

If Floating AI Follow offers a Remote phone microphone option, the other phone can scan the host QR code and explicitly enable its microphone. This path needs overlay permission on the host, but no host microphone or accessibility permission. The accessibility and host-microphone instructions below apply to local capture only.

The floating teleprompter requires permission to display over other apps. Full-screen prompting does not require this permission. The first time you open the floating teleprompter, follow the in-app guide to system settings, enable the switch for Tdx Teleprompter, then return to the app.

Operation steps

  1. Click "Start Prompt" in the document and select Floating Prompt.
  2. When the permission description appears, click Go to settings.
  3. Find Tdx Teleprompter in the system app list.
  4. Turn on "Allow showing on top of other apps" or a switch with a similar name.
  5. Return to Tdx Teleprompter and start the floating teleprompter again.

Menu names and locations may vary slightly between different phone brands. If the system does not directly open the target application, please search for "floating window", "show on top of other applications" or "special application permissions" in the settings.

Notice

This permission only allows the teleprompter window to be displayed above other applications, and is not equivalent to microphone or accessibility permissions. When only using the floating constant speed teleprompter, there is no need to turn on the microphone and accessibility services for the floating window.
