Let’s look at the conclusion first
The AI will only move after hearing something that is sufficiently consistent with the currently visible script. It doesn't jump around because of ambient sounds, casual remarks, or just saying a short word. You can usually recover by checking the page status first, and then reading the original text continuously from near the focus line.
Check in order
- Confirm mode: top should be AI, not Uniform; model status should be Ready.
- Confirm the microphone: The system has not disabled the microphone, and the page does not continuously display "Recovering Microphone".
- Return to the current text: Read a sentence or two in full near the focus line; do not start off the screen or far away from the paragraph.
- Reduce rewriting: Hot words can be used for names, brands or terms, but try not to significantly rewrite or omit the entire sentence.
- Keep it continuous: Get close to the microphone in a noisy environment and read a short paragraph continuously at a natural volume.
- Look at the current screen: When there is no reliable match at the moment, the text will maintain its position but the AI will continue to listen. Continue reading the currently visible script, and it will automatically follow after stable matching.
- Still no response: pause and continue once, or switch to constant speed and then switch back to AI; submit feedback with diagnostic information if it occurs repeatedly.
Notice
"Microphone has volume" only means that the app has received the sound, but it does not mean that the sound has matched the document. The AI prioritizes avoiding false jumps, so it would rather stop briefly than move forward with only a blurry sound.
