Start with how the text moves
Fixed-speed prompting advances at the speed you set. You keep pace with the text, which can suit a familiar script and a steady rehearsal. Voice following uses local speech recognition and text matching to locate your reading position and advance the script when a match is confirmed.
Search terms such as AI teleprompter, voice-following teleprompter and scrolling with your speech describe the product's voice-following mode. An automatic teleprompter can also mean fixed-speed scrolling, so check the actual behavior.
Choose with a short read-through
Try a short section of your own script at a fixed speed. Lower it if you keep chasing the text. Try voice following if you want progress to depend on what you read. Pauses, changed wording or off-script speech may cause it to wait for a match. It does not score pronunciation or provide a conversation.
Scrolling mode and display surface are separate choices. Android offers full-screen, floating and in-app recording surfaces. Windows uses a console, a transparent window or a secondary display; mobile camera instructions are not Windows instructions.
Preparation and data use
Voice following needs an audio input, the relevant permissions and a local model. Mobile sign-in and trial activation can require a connection. Check access conditions in your installed version rather than assuming every feature is free or needs no account.
Recognition and text alignment run locally. Optional cloud script sync is separate and uploads eligible scripts under its sync rules. Use the shared tutorials below for preparation and offline boundaries.
