Why does floating AI Follow require accessibility permission?

Accessibility services are used to maintain floating AI prompts and associated audio links above apps such as the system camera.

Let’s look at the conclusion first

If Floating AI Follow offers a Remote phone microphone option, the other phone can scan the host QR code and explicitly enable its microphone. This path needs overlay permission on the host, but no host microphone or accessibility permission. The accessibility and host-microphone instructions below apply to local capture only.

Full-screen AI Follow only requires microphone permission. Floating AI Follow also requires floating-window permission and the Tdx Teleprompter accessibility service so the prompt and audio connection can continue over the system camera and other apps.

Open method

  1. Select Floating Teleprompter and switch to AI Follow.
  2. Press the page to be guided to enter the system accessibility settings.
  3. Find Tdx Teleprompter under Downloaded apps, Installed services, or a similarly named list.
  4. Open the service and confirm the system prompts.
  5. Return to the app and complete the AI preparation before opening the target camera.

permission boundaries

The Tdx Teleprompter accessibility service does not read other app interfaces, collect text entered in other apps, simulate clicks, or operate the camera. It does not record audio. Recording access is controlled separately by microphone permission.

Notice

If you don't want to turn on accessibility services, you can use Floating Prompt prompts or use full-screen AI in the app. The system may shut down services after power saving, cleaning or upgrading. Please check this switch first if floating AI fails.
