How to use Change MD5 and Video Flip

Change file identity while keeping audiovisual content, or flip the picture into a new video.

Key point

Change file identity while keeping audiovisual content, or flip the picture into a new video.

Steps

  1. Open Tools > Video Deduplication and select Change MD5 or Video Flip. Both create a new file and retain the source.
  2. For Change MD5, select a standard MP4, wait for inspection, check output information and start processing. Keep this page open.
  3. If a content-credentials warning appears, read it before deciding to continue: the new file may make existing provenance credentials unverifiable.
  4. After generation, verification and saving, compare the old and new MD5, copy the new value if needed, and open the video. Output is under Movies/Tdx Teleprompter/MD5.
  5. For Video Flip, select a video and compare Original, Horizontal and Vertical previews. Text and logos will also reverse.
  6. Choose the required flip and export. Review any HDR-to-standard-range warning before continuing, then wait for gallery saving and inspect picture and sound.

Options, limits and troubleshooting

  • Change MD5 preserves picture and sound without re-encoding them; flipping reprocesses the picture and keeps sound, so output size may differ. Neither guarantees platform deduplication, approval or recommendations.
  • MD5 processing supports only some standard MP4 containers, not fragmented or encrypted files. Changing an extension does not fix unsupported structure.
  • Flip depends on local decoding/encoding support and can continue after leaving its page; process termination may still interrupt it. Check storage and save status when output fails. Processing complete is not the same as saved to gallery.
